Information & House Rules

• Treat the house as if you own it. Please keep it clean and organised. 

• Put out the trash regularly, and do not leave trash bags outside the house as it will attract vermin. 

• No glass on or near the grass. If it breaks on the grass it'll be impossible to get the pieces out. 

• No excessive noise around the house, do not disturb the neighbours. Please respect the quiet hours of 3PM - 5PM.

• Switch off airconditioning when leaving the appartment to save on electricity. . Upon return the airco only needs 10-15 minutes to cool the place again. 

• Damage to the house or its facilities due to inproper use will be at the expense of the guest. 

• For extended stays beyond 2 weeks, the cost for electricity and water usage will be covered by the visitor. 

• The house should be left clean, including the floors, bathroom and kitchen. Extra cleaning when required will be at the charge of the guest.

Beach access:

You can go to the beach following the route on the "The Sea" page. The gate at the main road can be opened with one of the keys on the keychain. Please close the gate behind you.

Beds:

The bed in the bedroom has drawers underneath for extra storage. The square boxes next to the bed have additional towels and bedsheets. The sofa bed in the livingroom can be pulled out to form a bigger bed, just move the second mattress on the extended part. Do not stand on the livingroom bed, the structure can't support that. Pillows for the livingroom bed are in the drawer under the bed.

Camera:

There is a security camera outside the appartment. We will not monitor the camera during your stay, but if you still feel uncomfortable, you can unplug the power of the camera below the livingroom TV. (see below picture). Please plug the camera back in at the end of your stay.

Cleaning:

There is a broom and scoop available as well as an electric dustbuster. Please empty the dustbuster when full and before you leave. 

​

Cooking:

There is a new oven, cooking plate and toaster in the kitchen. Please note that the oven has no fan, so only top and bottom heat. Make sure to switch off the cooking plate and oven when finishing cooking. Please be aware that the glass cooking plate can become hot to the touch, so be careful when using the touch buttons on the place. Pots are in the bottom drawer below the sink.

Dishwasher:

To operate the dishwasher, load the dished, put the tablet and select the program Universal. The machine starts as soon as you close the door. The program Universal Plus does not work.

Entry & locks:

The glass sliding doors can only be closed from the inside. When the door is closed and the handles down, the door is locked. We advise you to roll down the shutters when you leave. 

The front door has an electronic lock. To open the lock you push the little lock button, enter the 6 digit code you will be provided with, and push the lock button again. You can now rotate the lock to the right to unlock the door, and use the handle to go in. To lock the door, you perform the same procedure, and rotate the lock to the left.

The kitchen window has a railing, we advise you to keep it locked. If you do want to open it, there is a key on the keychain that unlocks the padlock. Please lock the railing again when you leave the house, because the lock on the window itself is not secure enough. 

​

Fireplace:

The fireplace cannot be used as the chimney has not been sweeped. Please don't put any fire. 

​

Garbage:
On your way to the beach there are garbage bins on the main street. You can separate the trash into general trash and recyclables (bottles, plastic, paper)

​

Garden:

The garden in front and next to the apartment (where the pargola is) belongs to the apartment. Please note that the grass in front of the other downstairs apartment belongs to the other owner and at the moment there is no visible separation of the grass. Please do not use or enter the part of the garden belonging to the other apartment. 

​

Outside furniture usage:

The chairs around the table and the couch in front of the glass sliding doors can remain outside during your stay. Please take the pillows inside in the evening or when it is very windy. When you finish your stay and no arrangements were made for a new visitor to take over, please stack the chairs and put them in the living area, and also move the couch inside. 

​

Be careful that the counch is not underneath the rolling shutters of the sliding doors, as the shutter will break when rolling it down with an obstruction. 

​

Parking:

A remove control is provided to open the gate. When driving into the parking, your parking spot is the second one on the right, right next to the covered old-timer. When coming from varkiza direction, it is not save (nor allowed) to turn left into the Kyprou street. Best is to continue to Agios Demitrios and turn there. 

​

Shower:

The boiler can be switched on in the electricity panel with the indicated rocker switch. See also below picture. There is an outside shower next to the pergola. The shower head has very low pressure so best to use the pink extension. The handle of is between the bushes. Please always turn off the water from the main pipe, because the extension cord will burst if it is left under pressure without use.

Sprinklers:

The grass is automatically watered after midnight. The sprinkers will start and stop automatically. 

​

Sun awnings:

The sun awnings can be opened with the tool that is hanging on the front corner of the house. Please place the tool back after use. Please close the awnings every night, and when there is a lot of wind. 

​

Toilet usage:

The appartments have septic tanks, so please do not thrown any toilet paper or sanitary towels into the bowl. You can use the little bin in the bathroom for disposing of toilet paper. 

​

Terrace:

The terracotta tiles can become slippery when wet, be careful not to slip, this is at your own risk. there should be no running on the terrace. There is a squeegee next to the bedroom door on the outside. 

​

Tools: 

If you need tools like screwdrivers, these are in the plastic outside cupboard. The lock key is the little black key on the keychain. 

​

TV:
Both the livingroom and bedroom TVs have google chromecast. You can log in with a google account and add your netflix and other streaming apps. The livingroom TV also has terrestrial antenna with greek channels. Note that during strong winds or bad weather the signal may be poor. The livingroom TV has a single remote, the bedroom TV has a TV remove and a google chromecast remote. Normally you can operate all functions with the chromecast remote.

WIFI:​

The house has its own wifi router. Please never unplug the router. Login details are shared in the welcome email.
